TERMS OF TRADE FOR PIPE CCTV INSPECTION AND PIPE REMEDIATION EQUIPMENT REPAIRS

VESL provides repair services for pipe inspection and pipe remediation equipment as agreed with the Customer. Any additional work or parts required will be communicated and agreed upon before proceeding.
TERMINOLOGY
“Business” / “VESL” / “we” / “us” / “our” refers to Video Engineering Services Limited, provider of electronic equipment repair services; and “you” means any individual or entity requesting these repair services or parts.
ESTIMATIONS
· Estimates are based on the fault description supplied by you and are valid for 30 days from the date issued.
· Estimates may change if further faults are discovered.
· All estimates exclude GST unless otherwise stated.
· Estimates must be confirmed by the Customer before work commences.
· Freight costs to purchase components locally or from overseas, are additional to the estimate and are included in the invoice once this cost are known to VESL
PAYMENTS
· Payment is due in full upon completion of the repair and prior to release of the equipment, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
· Accepted payment methods: Internet bank transfer / STRIPE
o VESL does not have an EFTPOS terminal
· Unpaid accounts will incur late payment fees and collection costs.
· In the event of non-payment, VESL may engage a debt collection agency and recover all associated costs from the Customer.
CREDIT
· Credit may be offered at VESL’s sole discretion.
· Credit limits and payment terms (e.g., 7days, 14days, 20th of the following month, or 30 days from invoice) will be specified in writing for each approved Customer.
· Reasonable administration fees may be charged for overdue accounts.
o Interest may be charged on overdue accounts at 2% per month from the due date until payment is received in full.
· Credit facilities may be suspended or withdrawn if payment terms are not met.
· VESL may terminate services or credit facilities at any time if the Customer breaches these terms, becomes insolvent, or is placed into liquidation.
OWNERSHIP
· Ownership of any parts or goods supplied remains with VESL until payment is received in full.
· VESL may register a security interest in any goods supplied or repaired under the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR).
· The Customer authorises VESL to register such interest and agrees to provide all required information.
· VESL may retain possession of your equipment until all outstanding invoices are paid in full.
UNCOLLECTED EQUIPMENT
· If payment is not received within 90 days after notification of completion, VESL may, after written notice, sell or dispose of the equipment to recover costs.
· Repaired equipment not collected will be stored for three (3) months after repair completion and may be disposed of after that time. VESL may, after written notice, sell or dispose of the equipment to recover costs.
· Unrepaired equipment not collected will be disposed of after 20 working days.
WARRANTY
· Repairs are warranted for 90 days from the date of completion, (unless otherwise stated) covering only the parts and labour supplied by VESL.
· No warranty applies to faults unrelated to the repair or to customer-supplied parts.
· This warranty is in addition to any rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
LIABILITY
· VESL is not liable for loss or damage to equipment left on the premises beyond its reasonable control.
· Liability for any claim is limited to the cost of the repair service provided.
DELIVERY VIA FREIGHT OR COURIER
· VESL will package equipment to help prevent damage in transit but does not accept responsibility for damage incurred during transit.
· Any disputes regarding transit damage must be addressed directly with the freight or courier company.
DISPUTES
· All disputes regarding work completed or payments must be submitted in writing within seven (7) days of the issue arising.
· Disputes will be resolved in accordance with New Zealand law.
PRIVACY
· Personal information collected will be used solely for business purposes and will not be sold or given to outside organisations for marketing.
· VESL endeavours to keep all customer information safe and secure, in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
· VESL strives to maintain website and data security but cannot be held responsible for breaches outside its control.
GENERAL
· VESL may modify these terms at any time. The latest version will be available on our website.
· These Terms of Trade are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
